Here at GD Teen Recruitment, we understand how stressful Results Day can be. We have created our 5 Results Day Tips if you may be feeling stressed or anxious.
- Don't bottle up your feelings- It is always good to talk. If you are feeling stressed or anxious, it's OK. It's a natural emotion to feel. Speak to a family member or a trusted adult if you wish to. But don't bottle it up, it's OK to talk. Even if it's the smallest of things.
- Get plenty of rest- It's vital you get a good night's sleep in before results day. This will make you feel refreshed for the morning ahead.
- Don't be alone- Although you might not want your mum or dad or guardian in the results venue, it's important you are with trusted friends or going home to someone after. Being all alone can put a lot of pressure on you and you may start to overthink things. Remember there is no failure, there are just other options.
- Don't panic- We know that there might be certain criteria for you to meet in your grades before starting your post- 16 options but if you don't get the grades you want, don't worry and don't panic. There is no failure in what you accompolish, there are just other options.
- Make a plan for every outcome- It may be worth making a plan for every outcome for results day. There aren't any expectations/ pressures that should surround you. Making a plan for every outcome only opens more doors and opportunities available to you.
